このコンテンツについて

Today’s guest Richard Dixon has been living with type 1 diabetes for nearly 40 years.

Diagnosed with the condition at the age of 2, Richard has spent a lot of his life in fear of his next injection due to a debilitating fear of needles. Every mealtime would cause huge amounts of worry, and the multiple daily injections he had no choice but to take steadily impacted every aspect of his life.

Like so many people, Richard believed that insulin pumps were huge, bulky and incompatible with his lifestyle. He's been amazed to discover that this is not the case, and the changes he's experienced in the last couple of years are nothing short of incredible, transforming life for not only himself, but his young family too.

With a new found confidence and what he describes as more freedom to live his life, Richard has started to share his story, to make sure other people aren't left struggling in the same way.
