Let's talk about the real life Emily Rose, the true story that inspired the movie "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (duh.) Anneliese Michel was a German girl who underwent 67 exorcisms during the year before her death, because her parents believed that she was possessed. This girl's whole life was crazy even before that: she grew up in a super strict Catholic household, had a history of mental illness, and suffered abuse from her parents. Talk about trauma. There's a lot of debate around Anneliese's story. Some people think that she really was possessed, while others believe that it was mental illness. I guess we'll never really know the truth. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that you'll love these apple fritters.
