I began my Tupac podcast in the vortex of my caregiving journey with my beloved and acclaimed mother, Alice Princess Msumba Siwundhla, Ph.D. I inherited my journalistic curiosity from her. Producing the podcast allowed me to satisfy my curiosity while being within arm's length of the love of my life. With the podcast, I retraced my investigative steps while exploring new theories, from the probable to the unlikely. So much now tracks back to the players and the fact pattern I uncovered almost 30 years ago. My mother's well-being was always at the forefront of my mind, even in the midst of my research and while interviewing retired LVMPD homicide detective Brent Becker. Production delays have been prompted by my caregiving. I am carrying now, in part, because no one supported me more in my journalism than my mother. And I cannot think of a better storyteller--someone who promoted faith, hope, and love--other than my mother. I will forget you not and love you through eternity. With that as the backdrop, I'm dropping the latest episode on Lena Nozizwe reporting TMWHC. This episode delves into the contested telling of Tupac witnesses. • When Baby Lane met LVMPD detective (ret) Brent Becker in Compton
    2026/06/09
One of the original homicide detectives investigating Tupac's murder responds to claims by a former Compton cop about what happened the day of the search warrant.

Journalist Lena Nozizwe pushes retired LVMPD homicide detective Brent Becker to go into the most detail ever about his only face-to-face encounter with Orlando Anderson in the parking lot of the Compton Police Department.

Becker also responds to assertions from that former Compton cop who was there that day, who says the homicide detectives cared more about getting breakfast than interviewing Anderson.
