Since October 7, 2023 life has changed irrevocably for Jewish women.Lee Kofman asked Jewish women to submit stories illustrating racism and aggression towards them, simply because of their Jewish identity. More than a hundred and fifty submissions were received and thirty six of them are published in this book as a collection of essays on the thoughts and feelings of what it means to be Jewish in Australia post October 7.

Lee Kofman's advice is if you want to write a memoir, perhaps don't! But she then outlines why sometimes , it is the only way to tell your story. Her own personal story began in Siberia in Russia, where she first started writing at three years old. She says she has certainly learnt a lot since then.
