  • Episode 4: Beyond the Arena: How Molly is Riding To Success
    2025/05/03

Today, it’s my great pleasure to speak with an incredible duo, a powerhouse mother-daughter team taking the Australian rodeo scene by storm.

Please welcome the amazing barrel racer and mentor, Tamara Walker, and her talented 17-year-old daughter, Molly Harper!*

Molly has been turning heads in the barrel racing world with her fearless riding, lightning-fast times, and a work ethic that belies her young age.

Already a rising star in Australian equestrian sports, she’s proving that age is just a number when you’ve got passion, skill, and a trusty horse by your side.

And behind every great young rider is an even greater support system, her mum, Tamara.

Together, they’ve navigated the highs and lows of the rodeo circuit, from early morning training sessions to the thrill of chasing down championship buckles.

In this episode, we’ll hear about Molly’s journey, how she got started, the sacrifices and triumphs along the way, and what it’s like to balance school, friendships, and the demands of competitive riding.

Plus, Tamara will share her insights on raising a young champion, the importance of perseverance, and why this sport is so much more than just speed and agility.

So saddle up, folks, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss! Let’s dive in…
