  • All-or-Nothing Thinking
    2025/08/19

Ever catch yourself saying, “If I can’t do it perfectly, why bother?” or “One mistake means I’ve failed completely”? That’s all-or-nothing thinking—also known as black-and-white thinking or dichotomous thinking—and it’s one of the most common thought distortions we experience.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • What all-or-nothing thinking really is and why it’s considered a cognitive distortion
    • Everyday examples of how it shows up in health, work, and relationships
    • How deeper belief systems (schemas and core beliefs) like perfectionism or fear of failure keep us stuck in extremes
    • Practical tools to shift out of black-and-white thinking, including finding the middle ground, celebrating progress, and rewriting unhelpful core beliefs

If you struggle with perfectionism, self-criticism, or swinging between extremes, this episode will help you recognize the pattern and start building more balanced, compassionate ways of thinking.

  • Surrender
    2025/08/05

What if the most courageous thing you could do… was let go?

In this powerful episode, we explore the misunderstood, deeply freeing concept of surrender. In a world that glorifies control, certainty, and constant striving, surrender asks us to trust, especially in the face of uncertainty. But this isn’t about giving up. It’s about releasing what was never truly ours to carry.

Host Autumn Collier unpacks why we cling so tightly to control, what surrender really means, and how it can look in our everyday lives, from choosing rest, to accepting others, to simply saying “I don’t know.” With guidance from the Serenity Prayer and insights from mental health research, this episode offers both practical tools and spiritual reflection for anyone navigating uncertainty, disappointment, or transition.

If you’re tired, tense, or trying to force clarity, this episode is your invitation to breathe, release, and remember: surrender is not weakness. It’s wisdom.
