Welcome to Confidence in Your Calling — a faith-based podcast for Christian women who are ready to stop seeking the world’s approval, quiet the noise, and step boldly into God’s calling with courageous obedience.

If you feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, anxious, or exhausted, it can be hard to hear God clearly... And then when you do hear God's voice... sometimes it is not easy to answer that call. This podcast helps you reduce mental noise, strengthen your confidence in Christ, and move from hesitation to faith-filled action.

I’m Dawn Shurley, a certified Christian Life Coach, and I’m passionate about helping women align with God’s Kingdom, build spiritual clarity, and obey without fear. When we seek God first, He forms the desires of our heart and strengthens us to walk in them.

Each episode explores three core pillars:

Kingdom Clarity — Anchoring your identity in Christ, cultivating a deeper devotional life, and inviting God into your decisions, relationships, and daily rhythms.

Peace & Presence — Reducing overwhelm and decision fatigue, creating space to hear God’s voice, and building rhythms that support emotional and spiritual stability.

    If you’ve ever felt anxiety, overwhelm, or tense… there is a good chance your thoughts were anchored in a shifting sea of the world’s identity metrics. Basing our identity on the ever changing world… we lose our footing and therefore, let go of the peace God gives us.

    If we can make it a priority to slow down… and seek God first… we can anchor in the Identity He gives us… and then we are grounded and feel secure, even when the world around us shifts.

    This episode shares the Bible story of Martha and Mary. The two sisters with different priorities. Neither are “wrong”, in their self… work is not bad… and serving is beautiful… but being present with the Lord is what Jesus wants with you first… and then you’ll be more at peace when you do go out to serve.     Trusting in the Lord is not easy when we focus on circumstances… but when we focus on the character of God… we know our trust is safe with Him. The Word of God is a well of peace and wisdom.

    If you would like give your life to Christ:

    Jesus,

    I come to You just as I am. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and rose again. I confess that I need You. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new. I turn away from my old life and surrender myself fully to You. Be my Savior, my Lord, and my King. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lead my life from this day forward. I trust You with my past, my present, and my future.
