    On July 30th, 1945, just weeks before the end of World War II, the USS Indianapolis was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine, sinking in a matter of minutes. Nearly 900 men were thrown into the Pacific Ocean. What followed was five harrowing days adrift facing relentless heat, dehydration, hallucinations, and the deadliest shark attack in recorded history.
