We cover Solomon's encyclopedic wisdom and catastrophic fall in 1 Kings; the strange question of whether the Testament of Solomon is a Jewish magical text, a Christian apologetic document, or something in between; Ashmedai king of the demons and the operative capture sequence in Tractate Gittin; and the Islamic Sulayman, who commands jinn by divine decree rather than by magic, and whose death is engineered by a woodworm.
