    Dangers of the Prosperity Gospel! | A Warning from Pa Sydney Granville Elton The prosperity gospel has taken deep root in many churches today, but what are its true consequences? Pa Sydney Granville Elton, a British missionary who devoted his life to spreading the gospel in Nigeria, issued a dire warning about the dangers of this doctrine. His prophetic words still echo today:

    🔴 “If you follow the American prosperity gospel, it will destroy Nigeria.” Pa Elton foresaw how an unbalanced focus on wealth and material success—modeled after the American-style prosperity message—could erode the spiritual foundation of the church. He warned that prioritizing financial gain over genuine faith, holiness, and selfless service to God would lead to corruption, greed, and the abandonment of true Christian values.
