If you’ve ever sat in the audience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and felt your eyes tear up as a certain blue tang fish reminded you to "just keep swimming," then you already know Scott's Guest, Katie Whetsell.
Katie originated the role of Kelli in the original New York cast of "Dear Edwina," traveled with two Broadway national tours - "Wonderful Town" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and spent five seasons with the Tony-Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival. She's performed all over Japan and Taiwan in two concert tours with "Disney On Classic" and recently appeared as The Baker's Wife in "Into the Woods" at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando with Jody Benson.
At Walt Disney World, she was Winifred Sanderson in "Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular" and Dolly Drew at the "Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue." In addition to currently playing the role of Dory in "Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond" in Animal Kingdom, you can see her in the role of Ms. Hesitation in Cirque du Soleil's "Drawn to Life" at Disney Springs.
