Husker defensive tackle Riley Van Poppel comes on the show to discuss his 2025 season, the offseason prep for 2026, and the outlook for he and his position group. Then Cole & Nate break down the defensive line group and give their confidence ratings for the 2026 season. The guys round out the show talking about Rhonda Revelle's extension and former Nebrasketballers playing in the FIBA World Cup. GBR!

Cole started the show with his case for being optimistic about the 2026 Husker football team. Matt McMaster from "Middays with Matt" on 1620 the Zone joins Cole and talks Tom Osborne, the 2026 football secondary, and how the position coaches stack up with Addison Williams. Big Ten VB Media Day was earlier this week, and Dani Busboom Kelly, Andi Jackson, and Bergen Reilly represented NU in Chicago ahead of the fourth and (maybe?) final season for the senior class of Reilly, Jackson, Harper Murray, and Laney Choboy. The guys discuss the expectations and whether they need to win it all to truly be revered in Husker history. Then, a conversation about the Blackshirt defense. Can they improve the red zone defense? Can they find sack production? Who will the leaders be? Cole & Nate break it all down. Cole & Nate then talk volleyball, as their season gets underway Thursday in Arlington, TX at the "Spikes Under the Lights" event.
