  • What's the Secret to Happiness?
    2018/10/26

The one thing we all have in common is that we’re alive. Besides that, our experiences may vary. So how do we make the best of our time here? This week, we discuss the three things we all need to live a happy, healthy and balanced life.

For over 30 years, Steven Ing, MFT, has been a Marriage and Family Therapist with a specialty in forensic work. He is a contributing writer to Psychology Today and the author of two books on sexuality: We're All Like This and Get Busy Living. He is the creator and host of the true crime podcast Sex Crime Central and co-host on the podcast Managing Love Intelligently. In 2022, he was the victim of an attempted murder and survived multiple stabbings. And good thing: in 2023 his feminist science fiction novel Polliwog was published and he was appointed a community faculty member for the UNR School of Medicine. He lives in Reno, Nevada, with his wife, Sharon, on the edge of the Toiyabe National Forest.

  • Does God Care If You're Gay?
    2018/09/19

Religion’s relationship with sexuality is precarious to say the least, but does God accept us regardless of our orientation? How about religion? This week, we discuss faith, religion, sexuality, and community with Kathy Baldock, an expert on the historical religious discrimination against members of the LGBTQIA+ community. She is the author of “Walking the Bridgeless Canyon: Repairing the Breach Between the Church and the LGBT Community” and founder of Canyonwalker Connections, an organization with a goal of repairing the relationship between the LGBTQIA+ community and the church.
