  • "Falling to the Top" Part-2
    2025/08/25

"Falling to the Top explores the process of emotional and relational healing, by addressing the "Big Feeling" events from one's "family of origin" by revisiting events in sensory, "ground level" detail, which often involves painful emotions like shame or abandonment. Using the analogy of Jesus' journey from Good Friday to Easter Sunday, highlighting a crucial "Saturday" experience—as essential for liberating the "innocent child" we abandoned to survive.

  • "Repair" a rhythm for deeper connections
    2025/07/25

Are you familiar with that voice in your head that beats you up, with messages of contempt, blame, or even hatred?
Maybe in a similar way, you’ve actually used your words to make it clear to others how you feel about them, to push them away.
Perhaps you’ve even expressed such messages toward God to put distance between yourself and Him.
These are relational ruptures that separate us from the deep intimacy we were created to give and receive and they leave us isolated and alone.
In this episode, Dale Hodgeson talks about developing a rhythm of repair for the relational ruptures in our lives, a rhythm that keeps moving us out of isolation and back into life giving connection with ourselves, others, and God.

  • Narcissism, Part-2
    2025/07/21

    Narcissism, Part-2

This episode of Journey Connection is the second of a very interesting two-part series. Part-1 is an interview with Mike Putman about his personal journey “away from narcissism.” Mike talks about what it took for him to recognize that he was a narcissist and how God used the Open Hearts Ministry material and his experiences in Journey Groups bring awareness, change, and freedom into his life by changing the ways he relates to others.

Part-2 is a very informative teaching on the topic of narcissism Mike and his wife Katrina have put together to explain narcissism, how to recognize narcissism, how to work with people displaying those tendencies, and just what strategies can bring healthy change.
