  • “Revival: It begins with us.
    2026/08/31

Our world is overwhelmed by division, anxiety, addiction, broken families, constant distractions, and growing hopelessness. We often pray for God to change America, our communities, and our churches—but what if revival must begin within our own hearts?

In this episode of Jesus & a Cup of Joe, Royce explains what biblical revival really means, how it differs from conversion, and why it cannot be manufactured through emotion, programs, politics, or human effort. Revival is God awakening and renewing His people—calling believers back to their first love, genuine repentance, faithful prayer, obedience to His Word, holy living, unity grounded in truth, and a renewed commitment to sharing the Gospel.

This episode also presents the Gospel clearly: every person has sinned, but Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Forgiveness and eternal life are offered by God’s grace to everyone who turns from sin and places their faith in Christ.

America needs spiritual renewal—but it must begin with God’s people. It must begin in our homes, churches, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and everyday relationships. Before we ask God to change everyone else, we must be willing to pray, “Lord, search me. Start with me.”

    The twelve went. Will you?

    Key Scriptures: Psalm 85:6; Revelation 2:4–5; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 139:23–24; Romans 13:11; Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18–20; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Ephesians 2:8–10.

  • When the Money Is Good but Your Spirit Says No
    2026/08/16

What do you do when an opportunity looks perfect on paper—the salary is higher, the benefits are better, and the money could relieve real financial pressure—but something in your spirit keeps saying no?

In this episode of Jesus & a Cup of Joe, Royce shares his personal experience of considering a high-paying career opportunity while facing home repairs, debt, and a leaking roof. Although the offer promised financial relief, he could not ignore the lack of peace he felt about the position.

Using Mark 8:36—“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”—Royce examines the difference between God’s provision, a test of faith, and a temptation disguised as an opportunity. He also discusses how to test an uneasy feeling through Scripture, prayer, wise counsel, honest investigation, and personal integrity.

Money is not evil, and success is not sinful. But no salary, bonus, title, or opportunity is worth surrendering your faith, family, integrity, peace, or calling.

Sometimes faith means walking through an open door. Other times, faith means having the courage to let a door covered in dollar signs close.

Before deciding what you are willing to gain, decide what you will never surrender.

  • The Flag & the Cross
    2026/07/04

America is 250 years old. But have we forgotten who we are?

As our nation celebrates two and a half centuries of freedom, many Americans—especially younger generations—are questioning whether America is still worth loving. Why has gratitude been replaced with cynicism? Why do so many see only our failures while overlooking the extraordinary blessings we enjoy?

In this powerful episode of The Flag and the Cross, Royce shares a veteran's perspective on patriotism, freedom, sacrifice, and faith. He explores America's remarkable history, honestly acknowledges our shortcomings, and challenges listeners to rediscover a balanced love for their country without turning patriotism into idolatry.

But this conversation goes even deeper.

In a culture where politics has become a religion, many people have placed their hope in political parties, elected leaders, and government institutions. Scripture reminds us that no president, political movement, or nation can provide what only Jesus Christ offers.

This episode is a call to remember that while America is worth loving, only Jesus is worthy of worship.

Whether you're conservative or liberal, a veteran or civilian, young or old, this conversation will challenge you to examine where your hope truly rests.

    In this episode you'll discover:

    • Why America's 250th birthday matters.
    • Why so many Americans are losing their love for this nation.
    • How gratitude and truth can exist together.
    • The danger of making politics your identity.
    • What the Bible says about governments, leaders, and our ultimate citizenship.
    • Why America needs spiritual revival more than political victory.
    • Why the Cross will always stand above every flag.

    Key Verse:

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." — Philippians 3:20

If this episode encourages or challenges you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs to hear this message.

  • What's Happening to Our World?
    2026/06/28

Everywhere we look, it seems like the world is becoming more divided, more chaotic, and more uncertain. Wars, violence, economic instability, moral confusion, and fear dominate the headlines. Many people are asking the same question:

    "What's happening to our world?"

In this episode, we examine today's events through the lens of God's truth rather than fear. We'll discuss why the Bible tells us these things are happening, what Jesus said about the last days, and how believers are called to respond with faith, hope, and purpose.

    Together we'll explore:

    • Why the world feels like it's falling apart.
    • What Jesus taught about the signs of the times.
    • Why creation itself is "groaning" (Romans 8:22).
    • How Romans 8:18 gives us hope in the middle of suffering.
    • Why Colossians 3:2 reminds us to keep our focus on eternal things.
    • How Christians can live with confidence instead of fear.

No matter how dark the world becomes, God's promises remain unchanged. Jesus is still on the throne, the Gospel still saves, and our hope is found in Him alone.

  • When Belief Isn't the Problem.
    2026/06/07

The Story of Nicodemus and the Cost of Surrender

Nicodemus wasn't an atheist. He wasn't an enemy of Jesus. In fact, he openly admitted, "We know that you are a teacher who has come from God." So if belief wasn't his problem, what was?

In this powerful episode of Jesus & a Cup of Joe, we dive into the journey of Nicodemus—a respected Pharisee who found himself caught between what he knew to be true and what he was afraid to lose. Through John 3, John 7, and John 19, we'll explore the tension between belief and surrender, the necessity of being born again, the power of saving faith, God's limitless love, and the courage required to step out of the shadows and into the light.

Many people believe in Jesus, yet still struggle to release control, comfort, fear, reputation, or the life they've built for themselves. Nicodemus' story reminds us that faith is more than agreement—it is surrender.

The question isn't, "Do you believe?"
