Rival Sons frontman Jay Buchanan went deep into the desert, and himself, to summon up the powerful songs on his recently released solo album Weapons of Beauty, in stores now from Sacred Tongue Recordings (via Thirty Tigers). He also covered a beloved Leonard Cohen tune for good measure. We talk about that, and about Jay's recent work on the Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, in this intimate and personal conversation recorded last month.
