概要
Jamie Hagerbaumer, an associate at The Brattle Group, shares how expert witnesses support arbitration and litigation teams by independently analyzing evidence to value damages, often bridging claims that range from zero to billions. She explains how economics, finance, and modeling intersect with integrity and credibility, including the importance of saying no when the data doesn’t support a position. Jamie discusses collaborating with legal teams through discovery and case timelines, working on multi‑expert teams, and real‑world valuation examples from mining and investor‑state disputes. She also reflects on her career path, the growing role of technology and AI in expert work, and efforts to expand opportunities for women in expert witness roles.
