• Why Stephenie LaGrossa Took the Fall for Jonathan, Why Jury Question was Cut from Survivor 50 Finale
    2026/07/08

Survivor Hall of Famer Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick returns to the Jack Vita Show for the final leg of our four-part deep dive into her time on Survivor 50!

Last week, we chatted about the merge and Stephenie's plans for the endgame. This week, we're discussing everything else that happened after that, including Stephenie's first immunity win in over 20 years, her steal-a-vote advantage, and her eventual elimination from the Mr. Beast coin-flip.

Shortly after the merge, Stephenie won the season's first individual immunity challenge. It was her second ever immunity win, and her first since the fall of 2005, when she was the runner-up on Survivor: Guatemala. Stephenie spills on her immunity win and Applebee's reward. In that same episode, Survivor's first-ever 'Blood Moon' took place. While discussing strategy after the Applebee's reward, Chrissy Hofbeck made a statement that caught flak on social media, saying that she, Stephenie and Jonathan Young were all "cut from the same cloth". What did Chrissy mean by this statement?

In the next episode, Stephenie was randomly selected to go on a mission at exile island. If she could keep her hand raised above her head for an hour, she would earn an advantage, but if she failed, she would lose her vote for the next tribal council. While completing the mission, the show ran a highlight-reel of some of Stephenie's finest moments through the years on Survivor. Upon completing the mission, she faced the entire tribe, and crafted a lie that she didn't earn an advantage, but didn't lose her vote, either. Cirie Fields wasn't buying it for a second. Stephenie takes us through this moment for her, and explains why she lied to the group, but planned to tell Cirie privately, which she did.

Then, the Mr. Beast episode. Stephenie explains why she considered pushing to flip the coin, but ultimately didn't. She also shares why she fell on the sword for Jonathan, instead of throwing her ally under the bus to buy herself another day. Stephenie discusses different scenarios that may have played out, had she made it past Day 19.

Later, she explains her jury statement. What did she mean when she said Jonathan was "the total package"? While asking her question, she was interrupted by Dee Valladares and Tiffany Ervin. Stephenie reveals that she did in fact ask a question, but it didn't make the air. It was cut from the edit. Stephenie explains why she felt Jonathan played the best game and deserved to win the title of sole survivor. All this, and so much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!

  • Stephenie LaGrossa Reveals Why Nobody Was Fooled by Rick Devens' Fake Immunity Idol on Survivor 50
    2026/06/29

Four-time Survivor star Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick returns to the Jack Vita Show for another episode discussing her time on Survivor 50! Today, she and Jack are discussing the early merge!

Last week, we broke down the first batch of episodes from Survivor 50, leaving off at the blindside of White Lotus creator Mike White. We pick up right where we left off, discussing the fallout from Mike White's boot, including Ozzy's temper tantrum which resulted in Christian physically shaking. So, how was Stephenie able to pick up the pieces and get Ozzy and Christian to vote together at the next tribal council? She takes us behind the scenes in the final vote before the merge.

Was Stephenie, or any of the contestants for that matter, thinking that a merge could actually occur with 17 people remaining? Stephenie walks us through the merge and the 'blood moon', which resulted in her losing two of her closest allies from the original Vatu tribe, Colby Donaldson and Genevieve Mushaluk. How did Stephenie respond to Cirie Fields taking Colby out?

Then, Stephenie gives us an inside look at the double-boot of Coach Benjamin Wade and Chrissy Hofbeck. Coach, Chrissy, Stephenie and Jonathan Young thought they had Joe Hunter, Christian Hubicki, Ozzy and Cirie voting with them. They were sadly mistaken. At that very tribal council, Rick Devens made a show out of collecting a fake idol that he and Christian planted in the second episode. Stephenie reveals that the fake idol had no impact on that tribal council, as Devens was already safe, and she believes Devens was just playing to the cameras, trying to make good TV. Did anyone fall for Devens' fake idol? Tune in to find out! All this, and so much more, only on the Jack Vita Show! Join us next week as we walk through the endgame of Survivor 50, and Stephenie spills on her immunity win, her mission win that resulted in an adding an advantage to her bag of tricks, and her eventual boot. Would she have flipped the Mr. Beast coin? It's all here on the Jack Vita Show!

  • Albert Destrade Explains Why Coach and Ozzy HATE Each Other | Survivor 50 E12 "Inconceivable" Recap
    2026/05/17

With Danni Boatwright out again this week, Jack is joined by Survivor: South Pacific finalist Albert Destrade on the Jack Vita Show! Each week, Jack recaps the latest happenings from the world of Survivor 50.

Albert had the privilege of playing with two of this season's biggest stars, Ozzy Lusth and "the Dragon Slayer", Coach Ben Wade. In 2011, on Survivor's 23rd season, Coach, Ozzy, Albert and Sophie Clarke made up the final four. Ozzy led the final four immunity challenge by a significant margin, but was unable to complete the puzzle before Sophie. Once the remaining Upolu members made him the final member of the jury, Ozzy allegedly campaigned strongly against Coach and Albert, which both men believe played a significant factor in the jury vote. Albert also answers last week's question of "What was Ozzy's biggest choke job on Survivor?". This week, Albert and Jack discuss the fate of five-time player Cirie Fields, who suffered her latest heartbreak on Survivor. Does this one sting the most for the Traitors S1 champion?

  • Did Ozzy Just Suffer His BIGGEST Failure on Survivor? | S47's Sam Phalen Recaps Survivor 50 E11
    2026/05/11

With Danni Boatwright out this week, Survivor 47 runner-up Sam Phalen fills in for her on the Jack Vita Show! Each week, we recap the latest happenings from Survivor 50!

This week saw the latest shortcoming in the 20-year Survivor career of five-time player Ozzy Lusth. For the second time in his Survivor tenure, Ozzy was blindsided with an idol in his pocket. Ozzy trusted Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter and Rizo Velovic with his life in the game, and was stunned when the three men turned on him this week. Cirie Fields was unable to save Ozzy, as the castaways were divided into two separate groups of five, attending two separate tribal councils. Still, Cirie didn't seem to try to sway Jonathan and keep him from voting out Ozzy. Why didn't Cirie try to talk Jonathan out of voting Ozzy?

Cirie was targeted by Rick Devens and Emily Flippen, but was able to play her extra vote to protect herself. Emily took the fall, after Devens played the idol he collected from the Mr. Beast coin flip. Now, Cirie enters the Final 7 without her closest ally, and with no advantages to protect herself. Is there a path forward for her, to the Final 3? Can she defy the odds and win an unlikely immunity, or will she be the next one out? Sam and Jack assess the game moving forward.

Was this the biggest choke job that Ozzy has suffered in his five times of playing Survivor? Sam and Jack take a look back at his memorable Survivor career. Sam shares valuable insights from his time on Survivor 47, where he last all 26 days and finished second. Does the jury know who they are voting for before final tribal council even begins? Sam shares his thoughts and experiences. All this, and much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!
