Making his much-awaited reappearance with podcast host, Rick Flynn, Rick Flynn and recording star Jim Messina first met years ago when a young Rick Flynn was a weekly newspaper columnist with his own award-winning "Rick Flynn's Music Scene" Feature column which appeared in a handful of Greater Cincinnati newspapers back in the 1970's. James Messina (born December 5, 1947) is an American musician, songwriter, singer, guitarist, recording engineer, and record producer. He was a member of the folk rock group Buffalo Springfield, a founding member of the pioneering country rock band Poco, and half of the soft rock duo Loggins and Messina with Kenny Loggins.
Jim Messina appears today, on the Rick Flynn Presents worldwide podcast, in promotion of his brand-new band "Jim Messina and the Road Runners" which are based out of the Nashville, TN area and are about to embark on a 2026 American Tour playing both new and classic selections for all audiences to hear and enjoy.
