概要

Why tell your story? I ask, why not? My journey has been shaped by moments that have left me both humbled and grateful, and I believe there’s value in sharing these experiences. There are a few core aspects of life that I think touch us all, and by reflecting on my own path, I hope to speak to these universal topics . Justice, who shares this vision, aims to invite others onto the show to share their experiences as well. Together, we seek to spark meaningful conversations that lead us to rethink and reimagine how we envision our lives.J_ben 社会科学

In this episode, I reflect on the quiet, unexpected ways friendship finds us—often when we’re far from home, far from familiarity, and sometimes far from ourselves.

I share three moments that shaped my understanding of chosen family. A tap on the shoulder in a snowy corner of Germany that turned two strangers into friends. A casual kick of a football that opened the door to belonging in a new community. A study group that transformed shared confusion into shared history. None of these connections were planned. None were forced. They simply began with presence—someone noticing, someone inviting, someone staying.

This episode is about the friends we meet across cultures and continents. The ones who listen when we’re confused, laugh when we exaggerate our glory days, and feel our pain when we’re thousands of miles from home. It’s about how play creates belonging, how struggle builds bonds, and how showing up—again and again—turns strangers into family.

From my heart, this is a reminder that friendship doesn’t always start with history. Sometimes it starts with something as small as, “Your bag is open.” And sometimes, that’s enough to light the way forward.

In this episode set, I take you on a journey through fear, freedom, and self-discovery. From leaving home at ten to survive three years in a boarding school far from family, to becoming a solo fighter shaped by independence, to questioning inherited beliefs, and finally facing the ocean of my childhood, these stories explore the chains we carry—and how to break them.

Each story reflects the invisible fears passed down through family, culture, and society, and how confronting them can lead to courage, clarity, and liberation. We explore what it truly means to think for yourself, to take responsibility for your life, and to reclaim experiences that fear has long denied you.

By the end, this episode set isn’t just about swimming, schooling, or survival—it’s about claiming freedom in its deepest sense: freedom to feel, to act, to connect, and to live fully in the world as it is, rather than how we were told to fear it. You also get to sneak a peek onto what makes him know freedom.

In this episode, Justice unpacks the quiet exhaustion of being “the reliable one.” What happens when every yes to others becomes a no to yourself?

Through honest storytelling and gentle questions, Justice explores people-pleasing, boundaries, and the courage to say a soft “no.” With a special nod to the immigrant experience, this is a compassionate reminder that protecting your energy isn’t selfish—it’s self-honoring.

Tune in and learn how to come back home to yourself.
