ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
Last week we talked about how God gives gifts out of his grace. This week we see that even though God entrusts his gifts to us, they belong to him. As Christians wait for Jesus to return, we are commanded to faithfully use the gifts that God has entrusted to us. That word “faithful” is a nebulous word, yet a beautifully broad word. To be faithful means to be trusting, trusting that God has given the gift for us to put to use. And because God is the Giver of the gifts, there is no room for pride or despair when it comes to considering our gifts. Rather, we have the joyful privilege to see they came from the hand of a gracious God and there are countless ways in which to be faithful as we manage them and return them to our Savior.
