Isaiah 40:31 — When Your Strength Runs Low, Wait on the Lord Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Three Prayer Themes: Renewal • Perseverance • Strength for the weary Scripture — Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” The morning has moved quickly, and now the day has reached its middle. Perhaps you’ve already given more of yourself than you expected. The work may have been demanding, people may have needed your attention, and there may still be plenty waiting for you this afternoon. Perhaps you’re carrying something quietly while everyone around you assumes you’re fine. Before you push yourself through the rest of the day, pause for a moment with Jesus. Lord Jesus, You know the strength we have already given away. You know our responsibilities, the people we are caring for and the things we haven’t had time to put into words. So we bring our tiredness to You. Where we feel worn down, renew us. Where our minds are hurried, quiet us. And where we have been trying to manage everything ourselves, teach us to trust You. Be close today to people across South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda. Meet those working long hours, caring for families, serving their communities, studying, travelling or carrying burdens that nobody else can see. Give them strength for this moment and grace for whatever still lies ahead. Holy Spirit, quiet the hurried places within us and turn our hearts towards Jesus. Teach us that waiting on God is not giving up; it is choosing to remember who holds us. The God of Israel is faithful. He does not grow weary, and His strength does not run dry. You may still have much to do today, but you don’t have to do it in your own strength. Take this moment with Jesus, receive His strength, and take the next step. Amen.
