The Ahmedabad-based #AdaniGroup is a multinational conglomerate in India. #GautamAdani established it as a commodity trading company in 1988, with #Adani Enterprises as its flagship. Port management, electric power generation and transmission, renewable energy, mining, airport operations, natural gas, food processing, and infrastructure are just a few of the Group's numerous commercial ventures.

Nathan Anderson launched the activist short-selling-focused #investment research company #HindenburgResearch LLC in 2017 and it is situated in #NewYork City. The company, which is named after the 1937 #Hindenburg tragedy, which they see as a man-made preventable disaster, publishes public reports on its website that claim there has been corporate fraud and misbehavior.

They have written on Adani Group, #Nikola, Clover Health, Kandi, and Lords town Motors among other companies. Additionally, although holding short positions in the company prior to publishing reports, these papers defend the process of short selling and how it "plays a key role in uncovering fraud and protecting investors."
