概要
Nurse Coach Brooke Forsythe, author of Dispensing Pills, Popping Pills, joins us for a raw, vulnerable conversation about the mental health crisis inside the nursing profession and how Nurse Coaching helped her reclaim her life and purpose.
Brooke has been a nurse for nearly two decades, working on a med-surg oncology floor. After years of internalizing patient losses, pushing through trauma without support, and cycling through 18 different medications for depression and anxiety, she reached her breaking point.
But instead of walking away from nursing entirely, she discovered Nurse Coaching.
In this episode, Brooke breaks down the flaws in the current medical model and how Nurse Coaches are filling the gaps by bringing presence, listening, and holistic healing back to the bedside.
We also discuss how she's now advocating for change from within her hospital, opening conversations with leadership, and mentoring new nurses to find peace and confidence in their practice.
