ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
Unlimited riches…spiritual wealth. Can you imagine facing that dilemma? What should I value – the things of this world or the things of God? In God’s Word this morning we see someone faced with that exact dilemma, and he prays that God would equip him to carry out the duty entrusted to him to lead God’s people. He asks for a discerning heart – one that listens to God’s voice, heeds God’s Word, and follows where he leads. He asks for a heart that is after his Savior Jesus. Our prayer this morning is the same, that God would give us that same heart through the gospel – a heart that invests in what truly lasts because it invests in what Christ freely and fully gives.
