Jose has been building Lion’s Den Karate since 2006, teaching hundreds of students and helping create a martial arts family that extends far beyond the dojo. His experience also reaches into the competitive side of martial arts, including tournament promotion and the USA Sport Karate circuit.

But this conversation isn't just about trophies, tournaments, or techniques.

We talk about the challenges of running a martial arts school, the responsibility that comes with teaching the next generation, the importance of creating a strong martial arts community, and why the relationships built inside a dojo can become some of the most meaningful relationships in a martial artist's life.
