• The Charlie Kirk Effect w/ Sloan Adams
    2025/10/16

This week, Debi is joined by Sloan Adams, Central Senior Strategic Manager of TPUSA Faith

Debi and Sloan discuss the faith arm of TPUSA and its work unifying and empowering churches to speak truth in love to culture.

They discuss how so many cultural and political issues over the last several years including COVID, BLM, Antifa, men calling themselves women and the overturn of Roe v Wade have impacted churches. Some churches like Dream City have been bold and talked about these issues, others have compromised the truth of the Word of God to accept and even idolize sin, and many more have remained silent, afraid to step into these important conversations.

Sloan and Debi also discuss the spiritual awakening that has happened in the wake of Charlie Kirk's very public assassination. So many are flocking to church, opening Bibles for the first time and giving their lives to Jesus. We are especially seeing a rise in the strength and determination of Gen Z to follow Charlie's example in life and in faith.

  • The Age of AI w/ Krista Fabrick
    2025/10/02

This week, Debi is joined by special guest Dr. Krista Fabrick business and marketing professor Mesa community college, marketing consultant and business coach (Sam Oriza was out sick)

Debi and Krista discuss the growing concerns with the effects that use of AI can have on the brain and on the effects that screen time in general can have on young developing minds.

Just like many other things, AI is not inherently good or evil. It is a tool which can be both helpful and destructive. Krista and Debi discuss a recent study at MIT on the affects of ChatGPT on the brain. The results were shocking. Adult participants showed a marked decrease in their ability to think, reason and remember after using AI to perform tasks.

Krista and Debi also discussed the implications that AI has on education including the ease of having technology think for you, lessened attention spans, limited learning and more.

Finally they discuss the established and documented dangers of screen time on babies and toddlers. While the use of screens can be tempting and have immediate short term benefits of peace and quiet, there are longterm damages to emotional regulation, the ability to form connections and to learn. Screen time literally rewires young children's brains.

    2025/09/25

This week, Debi is joined by Alison Furno one of the volunteer leaders of Dream City Civics Ministry and former co-host of Into the Fire podcast.

Debi and Alison discuss the rise in violence in our culture. From school shootings to subway stabbings to a public assassination, it feels as if the world has gone crazy.

They talk about a recent survey showing that a high percentage of college students believe that violence is an acceptable way to shut down speech they don't agree with on campus. They also discuss the tendency of the media and politicians to classify speech as violence while excusing actual acts of violence.

Finally, they discuss what this means for us as believers and why we should not fear the world around us.

  • Life, Law and Liberty w/ Kevin Theriot
    2025/09/11

This week, Debi and Sam are joined by Kevin Theriot, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom.
Kevin talks with Debi and Sam about his career at ADF, some of the important cases he has worked on, and why we must continue to fight for Life, Law and liberty.

Kevin explains how a case might progress through the courts, using the Dobbs v Jackson case as an example. Cases progress from state to federal level and can take years to finally be settled. It is not just the Supreme Court that matters. State level legislatures, Attorneys General, Governors and lower-level courts also have a huge impact on cases like Dobbs.

Kevin, Debi and Sam discuss legal attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers in multiple states, including in AZ and legal battles over abortion pill reversal and free and compelled speech in the pro-life arena. There are also some Obama Care era cases that are still being heard in courts over what the government can and cannot require companies and organizations to cover.

They also discuss how important state level elections, especially the AG are for supporting common sense, life affirming laws as well as protecting religious liberty and safeguarding the family. We have state level elections coming up in 2026. They will have a huge impact on our state and our country.

  • The Battle for School Choice
    2025/09/05

This week, Debi and Sam host a solo episode on school choice and the ongoing battle over ESAs in Arizona.

Much has been made of a recent news article highlighting supposed fraud in the ESA system. But, Empowerment Scholarship Accounts have long been a target of those who do not like our school choice options in AZ. Arizona was the first state to offer such accounts, which allow some, not all, of the education dollars to follow the student and be used for homeschooling, tutoring or private school instruction. This enables families who may not be able to afford one of those options to have more control over their children's learning environment. Some politicians and union leaders in our state would love to rescind our school choice friendly laws and leave families with no choice other than public school.

Debi and Sam talk about the history of school choice, the misunderstanding of ESAs, including how much information is required to justify purchases. They also highlight that this supposed huge news story is such a small number of people and that those people are already being asked to repay money that they misused. All of this leads us to believe that this is political maneuvering. Since there is an election year in 2026 we must have wisdom and discernment when reading news stories like this one.
