We talk about tenacity, overcoming bullying and racism, and doing things when people tell you you can't. Then we get into the important stuff: why suicide isn't selfish - it's people in unbearable pain. Kevin introduces us to the term "brain pain" and explains how restrictions actually save lives. He championed the fight to get nets installed under the Golden Gate Bridge, battling the bridge authority for decades and he's even making a movie about it called "The Toll". We also discuss the discrimination people struggling with mental health face, the miracle sea lion named Herbert who saved Kevin's life, and the moment his dad took him back to the bridge for closure.
