Ramona Taylor is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law. She has remained active in various organizations, including Virginia Community Voices, and Asian Pacific American Bar Association, just to name a few. She is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International. Her past law practice had focused on helping the underserved, disabled, and indigent individuals. She formerly worked at the Office of the Assistant Attorney General for Virginia, representing several agencies and now serves as the Director of Contracts and Compliance. She has served as a team leader for the Virginia Supreme Court’s annual Rule of Law event and has served as a guest lecturer on topics such as Civil Rights, The Intersection of Science and Social Media, and Educational Equity and Access, and Civil Liberties. She volunteers to judge negotiation, mock trial, and appellant law competitions for PAD, and the University of Richmond. She also served as an adjunct professor at John Tyler Community College and Bryant and Stratton Career College. She was the recipient of the Roanoke Chapter of the SCLC 2019 Drum Major for Justice Award. She has been named to Who’s Who of American College Professors. Recognized by the NAACP as an Earl Warren Scholar and is the recipient of the Nina Kestin Service Award for service to her law school, community, and profession. In addition to all of this, she is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. She is the founder of Caring Field Films and Healing Voice Pictures- both production companies devoted to creating diverse, thoughtful content through films, educational shorts, PSAs, and documentaries. She has made over 30 short films and 700 videos while earning over 200 film awards for her work. And if that wasn’t enough, she serves as a script supervisor on major films T.V. projects, and commercials shot right here in Virginia.
