  • Season #1 Wrapped | Host Veronika Posch
    2025/12/16

In this season finale of In Her Code, I’m stepping behind the mic solo to reflect on what this first year has been. For the podcast, for women’s health, and for me as a founder.

I’m sharing highlights and learnings from Season 1, looking back at key moments in women’s health across Europe and the US in 2025, and taking you behind the scenes of what it really took to build In Her Code from an idea into a growing platform and community.

This episode is also about gratitude: for the incredible guests who shaped this season, for the listeners who showed up with curiosity and care, and for the stories you trusted me with along the way.

I’ll also make space for a powerful community story and invite you to help shape what comes next as I begin working on Season 2.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’ll hear you next year.

  • Maternal Health | Marlene Schaefer: Practicing Midwife
    2025/11/04

We often say that birth is natural. Yet few experiences are as medicalized, regulated, and system-dependent as giving birth. Somewhere between efficiency and empathy, we’ve lost sight of what care truly means. In this episode, Veronika Posch speaks with Marlene Schaefer, a practicing midwife whose work bridges the intimate world of birth and the often impersonal machinery of the healthcare system. Together, they explore how the structures surrounding pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care shape women’s physical and emotional experiences. And what it would take to rebuild a system that truly centers the mother. Marlene shares how continuity of care can transform women’s health, why over-medicalization disconnects us from our bodies, and what real “choice” in birth care could look like.

Important Note: The term mentioned in 21:51 is supposed to be "Hebammenhilfevertrag".
