On July 14th, 2025, 26-year-old Kyle Lee Smith was on the phone with his wife. It was the last confirmed contact anyone had with him. He'd gone to visit a family member in North Phoenix and never made it home. His cell phone was later found in front of Country Gables Park, not with him.

For nearly eight months, his case sat as an open missing persons investigation. Then, in March 2026, his mother, Kristen Cline, says detectives told her Kyle had been linked as the victim in what appeared to be a murder scene, discovered at that same park. A large amount of blood was found there. His body has never been recovered.

Phoenix Police have confirmed the case remains open and active. They have not confirmed his death, and no suspect has been named. Police have ruled out family involvement.

Kyle was a father of three, working to get sober so he could be present for his children, the same presence he lost from his own father as a boy.

On August 13th, 2021, 26-year-old Olivia Samantha Fowler stepped outside her boyfriend's home in rural Meriwether County, Georgia, to smoke a cigarette. She never came back inside. Hours later, a park ranger who knew her by name saw her walking alone along Pebblebrook Road, wearing a tie-dye shirt, white cutoff shorts, and black flip-flops. It was the last confirmed sighting of her.

Her family searched for nearly a year before the FBI officially joined the case. 16 months after she vanished, a tip led investigators to human remains in a rural stretch of the county. It took almost another year of DNA testing to confirm what her family had feared. Olivia was gone.

To this day, authorities have never publicly disclosed how she died or whether they believe someone is responsible. This case remains an open, active death investigation.

On July 26th, 1992, 22-year-old Brenda Lambert disappeared from her home in Bluewell, West Virginia, hours after hosting her son's first birthday party. Her car, her purse, her keys, even the clothes she wore that night were all left behind. She never was.

Weeks earlier, Brenda had filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband, Raymond, then withdrawn it. She had a divorce attorney appointment on the calendar and a custody plan in motion. She never made it there.

Thirty-four years later, Raymond has never been arrested. A 2003 attempt to search a nearby pond failed. And Brenda's sister, Christy, has spent more than three decades fighting to bring her home.

This week, host Cindy Gersch, a former CBS investigative reporter, filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Mercer County Sheriff's Office for the original case file. Updates to follow.

On June 23rd 2021, Daniel Robinson, a 24-year-old hydrogeologist, left his job site in Buckeye, Arizona and was never seen again.

His 2017 Jeep Renegade was found a month later, crashed in a ravine. His phone was inside. His wallet was inside. His keys were inside. His clothes were inside.

No Daniel.

A private investigator hired by his family discovered that the Jeep had been driven eleven miles after the airbags deployed, and that the ignition had been turned on up to 46 times after the crash. Forensics confirmed that someone entered Daniel's apartment after he went missing and searched through his computer files.

Buckeye Police believe Daniel suffered a mental health crisis and wandered into the desert. His father, decorated Army veteran David Robinson II, who served two tours in Afghanistan, believes something else entirely. He left his life in South Carolina, moved to Arizona, organized 49 weeks of searches covering 35,000 acres, ran for Congress, and built a foundation, all in the fight to find his son.

Five years later Daniel Robinson has never been found.

On May 4th 2017, Heather Nicole Turner was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in the bathroom of her home in Dallas, Georgia. Her husband Andy Turner, found her and called 911, approximately thirty minutes after he says he heard the shot.

For nine years the manner of death was listed as undetermined.

Then in February 2026, the Paulding County Sheriff closed the case and ruled it suicide.

The Paulding County Coroner said not so fast.

Coroner Lindsey Eberhart Fuller issued a formal statement saying she was excluded from key meetings, was never consulted when the manner of death was changed, and has unanswered questions she cannot ignore. She is formally ordering a Coroner's Inquest into Heather's death.

The sheriff says case closed. The coroner says the evidence deserves a second look.

He stopped to rest at an I-95 rest stop in Florida at 1:21 in the morning.

When his truck’s GPS moved again hours later — it was heading in the wrong direction. Someone else was driving it. 320 miles back to Georgia. Several luxury Mercedes-Benz and BMW vehicles missing from the hauler.

Alejandro Jacomino Gonzalez was found dead 80 miles from where his truck was abandoned.

CPS was called to her home 14 times. Six reports were never even investigated.

Oakley Carlson was four years old when she was last seen alive in Oakville, Washington on February 10th, 2021. She had been returned to her biological parents by a court system that overruled child welfare workers who tried twice to stop the reunification.

According to court documents and police reports, while in her parents' care Oakley was starved, physically abused, and locked in a cell under the stairs as punishment.

In January 2021, a caseworker visited the family home after a report documenting bruises and scratches on Oakley's face. Jordan Bowers refused to let her in. The caseworker saw Oakley briefly in the doorway, wearing only a diaper, not speaking. She left her there.

One month later, Oakley was seen alive for the last time.

She wasn't reported missing for 10 months. When police finally searched the family home, there was no bedroom for Oakley. No clothes. No toys. No sign she had ever been there.

Her mother told Oakley's sister she had gone into the woods and been eaten by wolves.

In August 2025, a judge declared her legally dead. Her body has never been found. No one has ever been charged. Both parents are free.

Fawn Marie Mountain was 25 years old when she disappeared from a trailer in Claysburg, Pennsylvania in November 2012. Her own family didn't even know she was missing for almost three years.

The woman who was the last person to see her alive is now sitting in prison, convicted of trying to have someone else murdered. The judge called her "one of the most manipulative people I've ever seen in a courtroom."

Fawn's case is still open. Pennsylvania State Police have identified a person of interest but have not named them publicly.
