  • #10 Who Then is Greatest
    2026/07/19

Join us in Matthew 18:1–9, where the disciples come to Jesus with a question they were too ashamed to ask honestly: "who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" and He answers by standing a child in the midst of them: the one figure in that world with no status, no honour, and nothing to repay. With the Church Fathers as our guides, we get past the greeting-card version of "become like little children" and find what this passage really is: one unbroken argument about greatness, from the child to the millstone to the severed limb. The kingdom has no leaderboard for the proud; the question is not who ranks highest, but who enters at all. And the little ones the world overlooks? Heaven guards them with a millstone. Whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

  • #9 - Sons of the Most High
    2026/07/05

Join us in Luke 6:27–38, where Jesus takes the hardest commands in the Gospel — love your enemies, turn the other cheek, give without hope of return, judge no one — and reveals what they are actually for. With the Church Fathers as our guides, we get past the idea that this is a code for being "nice" and find the promise buried in the middle of it: that everyone who lives this way "will be sons of the Most High." Each command turns out to be a feature of the Father's own face — mercy to the ungrateful, kindness to the enemy, an open hand to the poor — and to wear them is to carry the family resemblance. This isn't a call to be a doormat. It's an invitation into the family. Be merciful, as your Father is merciful.

  • #8 Take Up Your Bed
    2026/06/21

Join us in a packed house in Capernaum, where friends tear open a roof to lay a paralyzed man at Jesus' feet. Before He heals the man's body, He forgives his soul, and He does it in front of scribes who know full well that only God can forgive sins. With the Church Fathers as our guides, we walk through the passage and get past the miracle to what it's really about: that Christ forgives sins "on earth," while the gate is still open, and that He sends the healed man home. All the way home, to Paradise. Take up your bed, and go home.

  • #7 He Looked Up Toward Heaven
    2026/06/07

The only miracle outside the Resurrection recorded by all four Gospels. We slow down in the wilderness of Bethsaida and let the Fathers show us what is really happening — not just a feeding miracle, but a Eucharistic icon performed in broad daylight, before five thousand people.

  • # 6 Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled
    2026/05/17

Join us as we sit with the Church Fathers in John 14:1–11, spoken into the heaviest room in the Gospels — the Upper Room on the night of the Last Supper. Into the silence of men who are confused, frightened, and quietly falling apart, Christ speaks eleven verses of the most theologically dense consolation in all of Scripture. From the many mansions of the Father’s house to the stunning self-declaration “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” this episode walks through what it means to know the Way you have already been given, and why the going away of Christ is not abandonment — but preparation.

Join us as we sit with the Church Fathers in John 20:1–18, and question, what is the eighth day and why does the Church keep returning to it? From circumcision to Resurrection, from the Transfiguration to the eternal Sabbath — this episode traces one of the most profound theological numbers in all of Scripture and Tradition. The eighth day is not after history. It is history's destination.

  • #4 Thirst for Living Water
    2026/03/15

Join us as we sit with the Church Fathers in John 4:1–42, where Christ meets the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s Well and reveals Himself as the giver of living water. In this encounter, centuries of division between Samaria and Judea give way to the deeper thirst of the human soul. As the Lord gently uncovers the woman’s life and proclaims that true worship is in spirit and truth, shame becomes witness and seekers become harvesters. From the leaving of the water jar to the fields already white for harvest, this episode reflects on how the Messiah satisfies our deepest thirst and calls us to share in the work of the Father.

  • #3 The Law Giver Under the Law
    2026/02/21

Join us as we sit with the Church Fathers in Luke 2:21–39, where the Lawgiver humbles Himself under His own Law and the Old Covenant hands its hope to the New. From the eighth day to the fortieth—from circumcision to presentation—we explore how Christ fulfills and transcends the Law, revealing the mystery of spiritual circumcision, the poverty of the Incarnation, and the meeting of promise and fulfillment in the Temple. From Simeon’s long-awaited embrace of Salvation to the sword of love foretold to the Theotokos, this episode shows how submission becomes redemption—and how presenting ourselves to God is the path to peace.
