  • The Drowning Jukebox at Salt Creek Tavern — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/04
In the summer of 1997, a seven-year-old girl named Maya disappeared from the town of Salt Creek, Illinois, during a street fair. She was last seen near the old jukebox in the back of the Salt Creek Tavern, a place that had been locked and boarded up for years. Her mother swore she heard a song playing from inside that night—a tinny, underwater version of 'Dream a Little Dream of Me.' Twenty years later, I went to Salt Creek to write about cold cases. I found the tavern still standing, still locked, but the jukebox was running. The lights were on. And the song was still playing. This is what I found inside, and what I still hear when it's quiet.

  • The Man Who Fixed the Town Clock — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/03
August 1987, Stokely, Nebraska. The town clock at the center of Main Street has been frozen at 11:47 for forty-seven years. When the clock finally starts again—chiming at odd hours, counting backward—the people who hear it start to forget things. Luna talks to the last man who tried to fix it, a watchmaker named Everett Hatch, who tells her what he found inside the mechanism: a nest of hair and bone, and a name scratched into the brass. The episode doesn't end with a monster—it ends with a half-remembered appointment you can't quite cancel.

  • The Last Light at Pender's Point — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/02
In the winter of 2017, Luna spent a week in the coastal town of Pender's Point, Massachusetts, housesitting for a retired lighthouse keeper she'd never met. The keeper, Silas Quinn, had died three months before she arrived. The house was a low-slung clapboard cottage facing the sea, its windows filmed with salt and its rooms full of ticking clocks and unread mail. On the second night, Luna found a locked trapdoor in the pantry floor. She opened it. Below was a single dry-docked rowboat, a dozen glass jars of something dark and viscous, and a logbook written in a shorthand she could almost read. Each jar was dated. The most recent was four weeks after Quinn's death. This is the story of what she found in the jars, and what she heard when she held one to her ear in a room with no windows.
