Kelli was anticipating a beautiful, unmedicated hospital birth for her first, but an assumed diagnosis of cholestasis would have her being induced on pitocin and change all of her plans. Next time she was anticipating the same outcome, but thankfully had the birth she had planned the first time, but realized that she no longer wanted to fight the battle of trying to have a natural birth in the hospital and being questioned about every decision she was making. So when she got pregnant with twins, she and her husband landed on having a home birth! This didn’t mean, however, that her anxiety around the delivery vanished, as God would have to teach her that surrendering her plans and giving Him control was the only way that would happen, regardless of where or how she gave birth!
