Day one of anything is a lie you tell yourself just convincingly enough to start. Two workouts. A few pages of reading. A blank notebook that's never supposed to mean anything. Atlas doesn't know yet that this is the beginning of something — he just knows he can't keep living the way he's been living, and a 75-day promise to himself feels like the only door left.
"Hi, my name is Atlas, and this is 20/20."
He writes four words that night without knowing he'll write them every night after: I am enough. I forgive myself. He doesn't believe them yet. That's not the point. The point is writing them anyway.
