概要

 In the winter of 2018, Luna gets off a Greyhound in a small Montana town called Dry Fork because the driver says the next stretch of highway is closed by a storm. She ends up walking to the only place still lit at 2 AM: a rundown laundromat called 'The Spin Cycle.' Inside, she meets an old woman named Esther who has been washing the same load of clothes for forty years. Esther tells her about the boy who drowned in the reservoir back in '79, and how every night he comes looking for his mother. As the storm rages outside, the fluorescent lights begin to flicker in a pattern that spells out a name. Luna realizes the machines are not just washing clothes—they are trying to speak. The episode ends with Luna standing in the dark, the hum of the dryers growing louder, and the glass door frosting over from the inside.
