概要

Somewhere in the deep gray of the North Atlantic, where fog erases the line between sea and sky, there is a story for every fathom. Luna takes the wheel of a weathered fishing boat — the 'Mare Tenebrarum' — and navigates the whispered tales of those who vanish beneath the waves. In Ten Fathoms, each episode is a self-contained descent into maritime terror: a lighthouse keeper whose reflection grows more real than himself, a sonar operator who hears something singing back, a ghost ship crewed by the drowned and the longing. These are not jump-scare tales — they are slow, salt-crusted dread, told in Luna's candlelit hush as the bell tolls through the fog. What unifies them is the sea itself: ancient, indifferent, and hungry. If you listen closely, you may hear your own name in the tide. But do not follow it.

  • The Prayer Tree at Skelton Crossing — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/07
Luna remembers a cold October night in 2019, when she pulled into the empty lot beside Skelton Crossing's old grain elevator — a place the locals whisper about. She met an old woman named Etta Mae who was tying strips of cloth to the branches of a twisted oak tree. The woman claimed the tree could carry prayers to the drowned. Luna listened as Etta Mae told her about the night in 1972 when a school bus went off the bridge into the Millpond, and how the tree had been growing crooked ever since. She touched one of the cloth strips, and felt something that was not the wind. This is a story about grief that finds a shape, and about the things we leave behind in the dark. No one in Skelton Crossing will talk about the tree. But Luna knows why the branches are all bent toward the water.

  • The Lost Bell of Barrow Island — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/06
In the autumn of 2019, Luna hears a story from an old lobsterman named Elias about a fog bell that vanished from Barrow Island fifty years ago. The bell was said to warn ships away from the rocks, but one night it stopped ringing. When Elias found it washed ashore, the clapper was gone and something had been carved into the brass. Now, every time the fog rolls in, he hears a single, clear note from the island—a bell that shouldn't be there. Luna takes her boat out to listen, and what she hears changes the way she understands the water forever. A quiet, atmospheric episode about memory, loss, and the sounds that haunt the edges of the world.

  • The Man Who Fell Through the Ice at Trout Lake — Fexingo Horror
    2026/05/05
Luna recalls a bitter February on the Wisconsin border, where a retired lineman named Caleb Rourke drilled through eighteen inches of ice every morning. Not for fishing — he was listening. The locals said he'd lost his wife the winter before, that grief had softened his mind. But Luna had heard the recordings he played on his old cassette deck: a low, rhythmic pulse from beneath the frozen lake, something that answered when he tapped the auger in Morse. She drove out with him one night, the temperature dropping past zero, and watched him kneel by the hole with a hydrophone. What they heard was not water. It was not a trapped animal. It was a voice, distorted by cold and pressure, speaking in a language that made the ice hum. Caleb said it had been calling him since December. He said it knew his name. And when he leaned too close, when his flashlight beam hit the darkness under the ice, Luna saw something looking back — not a face, but a shape, a stillness that should not have been there. She tells this story in the wheelhouse of her boat, the fog thick around her, as if she's still not sure she made it out. Some stories stay with you. This one stayed under her skin.
