概要

 It's November 2009, and Luna is working a graveyard shift at St. Jude's Regional Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. The night is slow—until the call light in Room 314 starts blinking. The patient is a woman named Evelyn who claims she's been dead for three days. Luna checks her chart; she's admitted as Jane Doe, no record of arrival, no doctor's notes. Evelyn tells Luna she died in a car crash on Cedar Lane, but her body never left the road. Luna walks to the window and sees a stretch of asphalt with a single streetlight and a young woman's silhouette standing in the rain. When she turns back, the bed is empty. The call light goes dark. Luna spends the rest of the shift sitting at the nurse's station, feeling like something is waiting for her outside. She never finds out what happened to Evelyn, but every time she drives past Cedar Lane at night, she sees that silhouette.
