概要

Join Thomas Stevens on his extraordinary journey as he becomes the first person to circumnavigate the globe by bicycle, riding a large-wheeled Ordinary. Starting in April 1884 from San Francisco, Stevens pedals his way to Boston, hops on a steamer to England, and traverses through England, France, Central Europe, and Asia Minor, only to be halted at the borders of Afghanistan. He makes his way back to Karachi, crossing India before another steamship takes him from Calcutta to Hong Kong. From Shanghai, he sets out for Japan, ultimately concluding his remarkable odyssey after cycling an astonishing 13,500 miles in Yokohama by December 1886.
