  • Blue Collared Banter: E02- Mean Kids and Bullet Wounds
    2026/02/25

In Episode 2 of Blue Collared Banter, the beers are cold, Ken is once again “Kennifer,” and Florida’s version of a cold front has two grown men arguing about what actually counts as winter. Static shocks, dad complaints, and unnecessary confidence set the tone early.

Ryan shares how a simple laundry shelf turned into cutting open walls, fixing pipes, and realizing he might’ve helped cause the problem in the first place. What follows is a spiral into “YouTube University” home repairs, water softener disasters, and the kind of DIY confidence that usually costs more than hiring someone.

A “Would You Rather” question about stealing (hypothetically… relax) somehow turns into grocery bills, Publix receipts that feel criminal, and the realities of feeding a family. Add in kids roasting their parents, blended family chaos, and tall step-dad jokes, and things stay right on brand.

They react to some absolutely unhinged news stories that make you question humanity, then pivot into a hard lesson involving a firearm and a moment of “I probably should’ve double-checked that.”

The episode wraps with Beyond the Front Door, where they talk about the wild, gross, and unbelievable things they’ve seen inside customers’ homes—plus a surprisingly aggressive debate about what you’re supposed to call a roundabout. If you enjoy controlled chaos with a blue-collar twist, this one delivers.

  • Blue Collared Banter: E01-Trouser Snake or Rattle Snake?
    2026/02/20

In the pilot episode of Blue Collared Banter, Ryan and Ken, two longtime friends, HVAC techs, and family guys finally put a mic in front of the same off-the-clock conversations they’ve been having for years. This isn’t an AC help show. It’s stories from the job, life at home, and whatever else comes up… recorded from a home office that doubles as a Lego display room (so background chaos is basically a co-host).

They talk about how they met on the job back in 2014–2015, why military HVAC doesn’t exactly translate to Florida residential work, and how they once used earpieces on service calls for backup until one of them got accused of stealing a customer’s purse. There’s also some debate over questionable life-or-death hypotheticals that probably didn’t need that much thought.

The show introduces its first segment, You’ve Got To Be Shitting Me*, featuring a West Virginia rat-shooting mishap and a Florida deputy chasing down a runaway emu.

In This Is Why We Drink, Ryan vents about sending out wedding save-the-dates… then postponing the wedding after buying a house, creating just enough confusion to keep family group chats active through April 17, 2027.

Expect adult language, work stories, and conversations that probably shouldn’t be recorded, but now are. Feedback is welcome at bluecollaredbanter@gmail.com.
