概要

In government, business, and religion, the notion of "representation" has deteriorated to the point where "representatives" essentially represent only themselves and their bases, rather than their constituencies, leading to what we now observe as a dangerously divisive social climate. ChatDDU takes a systems-thinking based, unemotional, analytical approach to develop models, methods, and tools to help evaluate root causes, explain how the world seems to be working, breaking through obstacles to successful relationships, and setting course for more socially promising horizons, together.ChatDDU

  • "Representation" is broken; how might we fix it?
    2026/02/06

We progressives and conservatives routinely elect representatives who represent only their bases rather than their constituencies, thus amplifying our differences to dangerous levels of social division, all in order to "win." This podcast takes a systems-thinking approach to understanding the root causes of why we behave in such an ultimately self-destructive manner and how a reset of our expectations of a representative's performance might set us on the path toward reconciliation.

Listeners will first want to visit https://chatddu.com for a detailed and visually expressed problem statement and the introduction of a simple "intelligent systems" model and accompanying vocabulary that are designed to stimulate safe debate on policy and fairness.

The chatddu.com content and this podcast form the foundation for the ChatDDU newsletter (https://chatddu.substack.com) and the Plexus Leadership Academy, of which ChatDDU is a Senoir Facilitator.

This podcast is not a soundbite. It represents the results of more than ten years of serious inquiry into the nature of social division, its causes, and possible remedies. Listeners who successfully absorb these 204 minutes and the related visuals at chatddu.com will be rewarded with a heightened level of cognitive clarity, not just around contemporary social division but around healthy and intelligent systems in general.
