このコンテンツについて
Five days after his 43rd birthday, Aaron Gamble nearly ended his life.
Married. Two kids. A solid career in the film industry. On the outside, everything looked “right.”
On the inside, years of suppressed trauma, burnout, and self-betrayal finally caught up with him.
After a fight with his wife, Aaron stood upstairs holding a bottle of Xanax—25 pills—and thought, “I could just take these and never wake up.”
Then something happened.
An image flashed in his mind:
His two kids, sitting on the living room floor, laughing and playing Uno.
That image saved his life.
In this deeply honest conversation, Aaron shares:
• What it feels like to reach the edge
• Why men suppress emotions until they explode
• How childhood trauma silently shapes adulthood
• What really happens inside a psychiatric unit
• Why divorce became the catalyst for healing
• How CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and breathwork changed everything
• The truth behind his core belief: We are NOT the stories we tell ourselves
Aaron calls his time in residential treatment his “Mental Health College Experience.”
And what he learned there became his life’s mission: helping men rewrite the narratives that keep them stuck in shame, silence, and survival mode.
Today, Aaron is a transformational life coach, speaker, and creator of Dad Mode Activated, guiding men back to presence, emotional integrity, and authentic leadership.
⚠️ If you or someone you love is struggling, this episode may feel close to home—but you are not alone.
This isn’t surface-level wellness talk.
This is a real conversation about suicide, divorce, masculinity, fatherhood, healing, and the quiet courage it takes to start over.
