このコンテンツについて
In this deeply honest and nourishing conversation, I’m joined by embodiment facilitator, circle-holder and community leader Meghan Field, as we explore the journey from burnout, trauma and disconnection… back into the body, the land, and a way of leading that truly sustains life.
Meghan shares how years of high-pressure social justice work in violence against women and girls (VAWG), parenting a neurodiverse child, and surviving a narcissistic marriage led to chronic migraines, panic attacks, anxiety and deep exhaustion. Despite years of yoga, meditation and spiritual practice, her body was still holding grief that had nowhere to go.
Everything shifted when she discovered Qoya — an embodied movement practice rooted in a structure for freedom. What began as a visceral, full-body “yes” became the foundation that allowed her to process grief, reclaim her autonomy, and ultimately leave her marriage.
We explore how this principle of clear containers creating safety for freedom now informs all of Meghan’s work — from strategic leadership roles to women’s circles and sacred rites of passage — and why practices like no cross-talk are essential for sovereignty, presence and respect (with a powerful nod to the lessons echoed in "Agatha All Along").
Meghan also speaks candidly about perimenopause — how it stripped away her resilience, triggered severe depression and anger, and rendered her usual coping tools ineffective. She shares the pivotal moment that led her to take time off work, begin HRT, and finally listen to what her body was asking for — a decision she credits with restoring her mental health and her “sparkle.”
A huge thread through this conversation is land as ally. Moving to Cornwall brought Meghan a sense of belonging she had never known before. The land itself became teacher, collaborator and mirror — inspiring her Sacred Kernow practice, rites of passage, despachos (nature offerings), and the recurring message she receives again and again:
"You don’t have to do this alone".
This episode is a powerful reminder that embodiment isn’t indulgent — it’s essential. That leadership can be feminine, feminist, and deeply grounded. And that healing happens not in isolation, but in relationship — with our bodies, our communities, and the land beneath our feet.
