IDEAS from the Vault: Session 7 - Indigenous Peoples
Semester One, Session Seven of the Connect4Life Learning Channel
This learning series was delivered as a collection of webinars and workshops, originally a 12-part video compilation of training and sensitivity learning modules. We offer these sessions as archival and historic learning material.
This session provides research-based information on inclusion of Indigenous Peoples in the workplace. We reflect on the historical significance of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, define Indigenous inclusion, and discuss how to prioritize and build inclusion of Indigenous Peoples and practices in the workplace.
Topics include the timeline of Indigenous Peoples, steps to Indigenous inclusion in the workplace, and why Indigenous language matter.
