IDEAS from the Vault: Session 2 – Diversity and Inclusion

Semester One, Session Two of the Connect4Life Learning Channel

This learning series was delivered as a collection of webinars and workshops, originally a 12-part video compilation of training and sensitivity learning modules. We offer these sessions as archival and historic learning material.

In this session we explore how to be authentic, curious, and honest from a place of honour & respect, as well as look at how we can create an environment where everyone can rise to their best self, and recognize that there is a place for everyone beyond our differences.

This module casts an understanding of diversity and inclusion, fosters a just and equitable society, and reframes our views on diversity and inclusion to bring a suitable future for everyone. Topics discussed include diversity & inclusion terminology, benefits of inclusion, examples of non-inclusive behaviours, and types of non-inclusive language & how it affects everyone.
