Sometimes The Ten Commandments are hard to recall; it is my hope this podcast, full of esoteric details you may not have considered before - will assist with that dilemma.

Why contemplate and hold dear The Ten Commandments ? Well, they are, biblically speaking, the ONLY OldTestament words ever written by the literal finger of GOD.

Our Lord wanted us to know joy through Him, and the short list of His commandments is a conduit to that end.

Motherhood and serving Christ as a mother figure to others is a calling of epic proportions. The depth of responsibility and wisdom necessary to honor the gift of birthing and /or mentoring others is immense.

If called to do so, it is the utter giving of self FOREVER for the benefit of another; the chance to honor God by loving endlessly, as His Son does.

I hope this podcast emanates a nod of respect to ALL mothers and mother figures who desire to fulfill the precious gift of caretaking HIS flock.

The liturgical Season of Advent which precedes the birth of Christ (celebrated on Christmas Day) is a treasure to experience.

Instead of drowning in worldly buying/gifting/partying with the emptiness that chase brings ... the Season of Advent welcomes daily prayer for hearts focused on God's ultimate gift to the world.

To my ears, the word, shepherd, in the English language, sounds beautiful when spoken aloud. Its many uses in the Old Testament and New Testament are intriguing to consider; every Christian is called to be a shepherd, honoring The Shepherd, who made us in His image, for His glory.

Reading the Holy Word of God is the literal investment of a lifetime. With each offering of our hearts as we spend time contemplating this gift He left us, we develop our relationship with Him.

As the great theologian Thomas Merton once said, "I believe that my desire to please you (and know you through your Word), does, in fact, please you.
