I Don’t Know What I’m Talking About

  • Hello, my name is Sean and “I Don’t Know What I’m Talking About” is the name of my brand new podcast where I literally have no idea what I’m going to be talking about until the podcast is recording.

It’s 2023 and there is still far too much stigma behind people - especially men - opening up and talking about their feelings.

So I have set myself a fun little challenge, to record a podcast where I have to talk about whatever topic is dropped in front of me, and no, I do not know what it’s going to be until the microphone is rolling.

The topic could end up being something I know lots about and give my opinions and anecdotes freely, or it could be something I have zero knowledge on and so I expect to struggle to fill the silence.

The idea is to try and normalise unexpected and potentially uncomfortable conversations, but do it in a way that feels less like a chore and more like a game.

But at the heart of it is just one guy hoping he can encourage more people to step out of their comfort zone and talk about something that they might not feel like they can get off their chest.

Let me share my deepest apologies for this (very very very) late episode!! It’s fully explained in the episode, but just to reiterate, my life got WAAAAAYYY busy towards the end of January, which I should have foreseen to be fair - my wife’s birthday and a weekend trip away to Brighton which I organised weeks ago weren’t exactly sprung on me last minute.

Anyway. Enjoy Virtual Reality and Painting!

Drop me a 5 STAR review and a kind message if you have time - kindness costs nothing! (but this would be very beneficial to me, and push me up the charts!)

  • #38 - I love an argument in a rock opera! [FEBRUARY GUEST]
    2024/02/01

Do aliens exist? Have they been to our planet? Is there a musical out there for everyone? Should we write a musical called "Going To The Shop"? we're exploring all of life's big questions on this month's guest episode as I'm joined, again, by Benjamin Stubbs to discuss Aliens and Musicals (a far cry from Crafts and Pegging)

"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

This is one of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite movies, and it keeps getting more and more prevalent the older I get. Time, it seems, is quite literally flying by - do what you love NOW so that when the time comes, you're looking back saying "I'm glad I did it" rather than "I wish I did it"!

    Topics: Kylie Minogue & Marvel
