  • Episode 2 - No Prob-Llama
    2026/05/05
Join me on a visit to Lowry's Little Flock Farm in Horton, MI where I met, petted and held some adorable baby farm animals, got to know the difference between llamas and alpacas, and toured the beautiful farm this wonderful family started from nothing. Key takeaways: Llamas = banana ears. Alpacas = leaf ears. Goats will eat ANYthing, including tin cans. It takes OVER A YEAR to process alpaca wool and turn it into a product. Appreciate the process - it's worth it! Fitness classes = fun. Fitness classes with free range farm animals = even better. There's way too much to list here so just listen (or watch) and learn with me! Watch the video here! • Episode 1 - What the fascia?!
    2026/04/11
I used the inaugural episode of I Didn't Know That as an excuse to get a massage. JK, but what an amazing experience! Brooke Frontiera, an Occupational Therapist based in Brooklyn, Michigan, uses a hands-on approach to release fascia and help us balance our bodies better. Because this is a shared space with other businesses like House of Fausz Nails, Fresh Skin Esthetics, and Grazing Thyme Charcuterie, there is a touch of background noise. Embrace it. It's ambiance. Key takeaways from this episode for me were: Your jaw and hips are directly connected since before you were born. Heal one, and the other follows. Pelvic floor therapy does NOT mean kegels! Stop it! Pulling your shoulders back will not fix your bad posture. Fascia is pronounced FASH-uh. Not FAYSH-uh. SLOW DOWN. Listen to your body and it will tell you what it needs. View this episode as a video directly on Youtube or below: Next up, we will be learning about farm animals! Stay tuned for more opportunities to say "I didn't know that!" with me.
