Jesus does not say he is a vine — he says he is the true one. The claim is not that he is useful, but that everything else is imitation. This is where the chapter begins, and it is enough to sit with for a lifetime.
This is Day 1 of 27 in our meditation through John 15. Each episode builds on the one before — I'd recommend going in order, but let the Spirit lead you back whenever you feel called.
Each meditation follows the same format:
— A brief breathing exercise (10 rounds of 3-count inhale, 6-count exhale)
— Today's verse read slowly, seven times
— Ten minutes of contemplative silence with music
