In this episode of Hyperfixation Time, we dive into how pop punk exploded from scrappy punk roots into a chart-topping, Hot Topic dominating force. We’re talking Death Cab for Cutie, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Panic! at the Disco, All Time Low, and all the beautifully dramatic feelings they made socially acceptable to scream in public.

We unpack why these songs hit so hard, how the scene became an identity instead of just a genre, and what led to its slow fade from the mainstream in the 2010s.
